For the first time in 25 years I am dead in the water during the season. I have an almost new Lenovo laptop just put into service this fall. Rocking along just fine and now all of a sudden the machine will not accept a charge, and battery has been drained down to zero. I’ve gone through the basic troubleshooting routines, disconnecting battery, pushing on button for 30 seconds to drain all charge, reconnecting… No luck. It’s going into the shop this morning, but I suspect it may take several days. Somehow I will get that U of H game covered with links and photos, but likely no postings between now and Saturday. Apologies. It’s been a bad week. It’s been a bad fall. Hell it’s been a bad year.

Do your best, my friend. If all the people associated with Rice athletics did their jobs as conscientiously and well as you do, Rice athletics would be far better off.

I’ve got a really great computer guy in El Campo of all places, and he got me good and fixed up. Combination of a dead power supply and a loose USB-C connection.
