Jeff Scott is losing at a spectacular rate. He's on pace to be the worst coach in USF History.

Jeff Scott (3rd season) with 19 losses so far is only 3 losses away from surpassing Skip Holtz's 21 losses (in 3 seasons).

Jeff Scott's current win rate is 0.174
Skip Holtz's USF win rate was 0.432

Holtz had marquee wins @Miami and @Notre Dame
Scott's only FBS win is currently a Temple home game

Well, not having read the article at all, so just riffing off that headline, I'd say ...

1) UCF didn't capture a chance at the "big time", because the nB12 is no longer big time. We're in a P2 world now.

2) USF may have chances in the future. Nothing about what is happening now is forever.

If Genshaft did lobby to keep UCF out of the Big East, I applaud her for doing that, then and now.

I would have if I was in her shoes, and it would have been a measure of my respect for UCF as a threat - give UCF the same platform and they will could equal or surpass us, so not wise to do so.

Where you fall on Jeff Scott's job status these day? Retain or Fire? Do you have a minimum number of games he needs to win this season?

Even though he has barely won any games, I don't think Scott is on a hot seat this year. His first year was the virus year, so it wouldn't surprise me if USF admins viewed this season as kind of a quasi year two.

So I expect Scott to be the coach at the start of next season, even if he goes 0-11 vs FBS this year. Which I think is a distinct possibility, btw. I don't see a guaranteed, or even likely, win on our schedule from here on out.

Hope I am pleasantly surprised.

I’m surprised people think USF is the worst team in the AAC this year. I think Temple Tulsa and Navy could be worse.
