RE: Gas Prices
I still suspect the real bump back up in gas prices will be felt in the weeks immediately following the mid-term election as we are scheduled to finally stop the incredibly dangerous strategy of draining the US Strategic Oil Reserve of 1 million barrels a day at the end of October. It should be noted the reserve is now at dangerously low levels.

RE: Gas Prices
I filled up on Monday night and it was $3.49, then on Tuesday morning it was up to $3.99. Checked again today and its $3.69. Yesterday's average for my area is $3.67, today's average is $3.73. The average a week ago was $3.64.

Never gone anywhere.
And the only water I carry on gas prices is explaining to complete and utter fools that huge swings in prices at the pump have little to nothing to do with a sitting president.
I basically saw $.30 overnight increases on a monthly basis throughout the whole damned trump presidency. It's how the ******* industry normally operates. It goes up over night, then slowly goes back down over the next few weeks. It's been happening this way in Ohio and Michigan for as long as I can remember.
Also, in my town, the price shot up to $3.99 from around $3.74 overnight. But somehow when I went to fill up this morning, it was back down to $3.79. So, by your logic, Biden did that?
Lastly, anyone who only looks at a price shift at their local station and not the bigger picture while looking for a trend is just plain stupid. And I'm pretty sure you're not stupid.
But I love how you ignored the gradual drop in Michigan from $5.00+ to nearly $3.50+ over the last several months for one anomaly in your town. That takes a special kid of person.
Anyway the national price average is now down to $3.73. It's fallen every day for many many weeks now.

Curious, did you hear about the refinery incident in Indiana a little over a week ago? The refinery that supplied nearly all of the midwest? This could have all been the result of a minor delay in supply from that.

Last week I filled up for $3.89.. Checking the app for the spot next to my house it's at $3.59 which probably means I need to fill up tonight because it could jump tomorrow.

Yet you laughed when I posted that... and I never mentioned anything about a president. Why are you getting so defensive?
You didn't have to, skippy. Your silence at the $1.50 drop over the last several months, for a thread about one overnight anomaly, spoke volumes.

Rejoice? No, not all. But when you don't acknowledge it but rather post about a one night jump that even you now see was quickly corrected, says it all. Own it.
Especially since you seem to be totally unaware of why gas prices increased that much and why they subsequently went back down to likely close to where they should have been all along without the damage trump did to our production with his SA deal.

Still about $3.35 for regular here. Been stuck at this price for about a month now so I suspect the falling is done.
