Duke is in contention for the worst of the “p5”. The fact that temple got shut out is.. well it’s not newsworthy because we already knew how bad they were. Hopefully tomorrow is redeeming for the American. I am rooting for the aac

If Temple loses but no one saw it, is it still a loss?

Kettle, pot, black. Got kicked out, but no death penalty. Think we are square.

Charlotte loses to William and Mary, ODU leads Va Tech with 33 seconds left. SunBelt's future is looking brighter than AAC's at this point.

Coach had his team ready to play against the ACC juggernaut Dook.

No way to spin this, Temple is a bad football team. I am changing my win total from 2 to 1, as I no longer believe we will even beat UMass. We are in complete rebuild; our former HC Carey drove all the junior and senior talent away, took away the drive to get better, made players worse and did a lot of damage. Stan Drayton has years of work ahead.

I had hopes to see Temple much improved this year, except for the obvious game.

I didn't think Temple would be good this year but I didn't think they would look this bad. Vick mike points out the reasons. Sad that this program had it rollin' under Golden/Addazio/Ruhle. Shoot, Collins did pretty well too.

RE: ***Official Temple @ Duke Game Thread***
I mean most of us knew Temple was going to be bad, and the question was really whether we'd only win 2 or somehow find a third. The last regime ran out pretty much all talent and didn't recruit for ****, and the new regime is starting from scratch in the same way Al Golden had to. This will be a painful season and last night made me think even 2 wins is optimistic, but I like the foundation the new AD and coaching staff put in place and I think Temple will be competing for AAC championships again in 2-3 years.

Total rebuild? I think you’re giving credit where it’s not due.

That's pretty unlikely, considering the fact that Temple's basketball team finished 4th in the league last season and is currently ranked #65 in the barttorvik.com pre-season rankings.

This was game #1 under a new, first-time, Head Coach - - a HC who inherited a program that went a combined 4-18 over the past two seasons and was hemorrhaging transfers-out. Everyone knew well in advance that this was going to be a rough year for the Owls program.

It's going to take Temple's Coach a couple of seasons to get things turned around. On the positive side, he's been receiving praise for his work to date on the recruiting front, and that could begin to pay dividends in a year or two.

Temple vs Charlotte will be a barn burner. Both look terrible on all levels.
