If Frost beats Oklahoma in two weeks he can save his job. Will likely need to be 7-1 going into Halloween, which is possible but unlikely. I don't see Nebraska firing him till around that date anyway.
Like I said before, they might as well pencil in the 5 same schools in the top 5 year after year. It doesn't matter if they have a new (first time) head coach or not.
I guess it made no dent losing BK. I bet that hurts his ego.
As a side note, Ryan Day's first season (ever) as HC, OSU was also #5 preseason.
Notre Lame is about the most coddled football program out there. I'm so happy for MF to get this opportunity but I've never been a believer in the Irish - Lou Holtz's forever-ago national chip season aside. Saturday night in Columbus will have the Irish drinking Jameson's in large quantities by the half. It's going to get ugly.
I am far from a ND fan, but Marcus has been recruiting a different kind of guy up there the past two years. He’s a heck of a coach and the players are inspired to play for him. It will be an OSU win but it will be closer than people think.
Fwiw, there are a lot of ND fans living in Columbus. A ton of “kiss me I’m Irish” types living there.
I can confirm this and for that day I'll be one of them haha. Plus they named a whole suburb Dublin..

That was one of the hardest hitting, physical games that I have watched in some time. What an opening week game. I lost track of the number of personal fouls and targeting calls/reviews. Damn.

I didn't even realize those two schools had a football team.
JK-- but seriously, I am guessing many people don't realize they do.

All UC fans should be doing backflips off their front/back porches as homage to not playing in the terribly watered down AAC next year. Charlotte. Rice. North Texas. Egads.
