No hatred spewed here lol. I just want to know from those who know the program better. Is there anything wrong in the sense we are getting a certain level of recruit/ transfer it seems?

This is the first one that seems like it might be a reach. Most of the others (Davis, Akot, Kennedy….) are pretty high level. At least their stats are, anyway.

Penny alluded to not wanting a 12 man rotation with the headaches from expected minutes, behind the scenes drama, etc. This feels like us backfilling the roster with with players who fill roles in practice and help when needed, but who won't be pouting on the bench and screaming in the lockerroom when they don't get the minutes they think they deserve.

Excellent assessment.

Penny says he wants him as an inside presence and rim protector. When our other inside presences and rim protectors get in foul trouble (as they always do)...he'll be there.

It's a decent plan.

Thanks guys. I was the biggest Penny fan ever growing up in my little town lol. Cheered the loudest when we hired him. I've just been disappointed with different things these past couple of years. I wanted Musselman before we hired Penny because I thought he brought multiple things to the table. It seems he's becoming there what I thought he could here.

Agree fully. The team does not need every single player to be outstanding and wanting to play 32 minutes or more per game. Every program needs reserved/role players and Young seems to be well suited for this. I like it.
