Dump would have pulled the US out of NATO

He said multiple times that he wanted the US out of NATO and the UN.

Trump was looking for a restructuring of NATO, especially with the US paying a disportionate amount of the tab.

It's almost as if someone was advising Trump to do things that weren't in the best interest of America. Hmm...who could that be? Putin

Minor, your hilarious 03-lmfao or I should say delirious ? Have you been sneaking into my backyard and drinking from my Tiki Bar? 03-drunk I see that new bottle of dark rum I just bought is almost empty now and I don't recall mixing any rum drinks this last weekend at my MAGA Tiki Party....

Abjectly the wrong leader during a global pandemic and the worst social upheaval since 1968. Very happy that presidency is behind us. But bewildered by all the Trump flags flying in front yards and front windows. They are EVERYWHERE on Michigan backroads. What in our nation's history compares to that volume of....strangeness?

Are there Obama conventions where you go buy Obama gear & tell stories about him being the King?

Do you see people still displaying their Obama lawn signs?

Is Obama still having rallies for himself & asking for donations?

LOL, c'mon man. You cannot compare the cult-like zealotry for Trump to any other US political figure in our nation's history.

Trumpism is akin to 1930s strongman-shouting-from-balcony Europe territory. And Fox News is its propaganda minister.

The house at the end of my street is badass. Two flags outside the front door:

-- USA
--EMU

Now that's progressive.

Trumpism is akin to 1930s strongman-shouting-from-balcony Europe territory. And Fox News is its propaganda minister.

Presidential cult following is in both parties. Does anyone remember the Bush Action Figure Super Hero in his flight suite that came out right after 911? And how about the attempt to erect a Regan memorial in the Washington Mall? I liked Regan, but should he be memorialized with the likes of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt on the Washington Mall?

It’s really strange how so many people swain over a politician. The Media and Hollywood elite are the worst and here is just a few examples from the Obama cult:

(Obama) “walks into a room and you want to follow him somewhere, anywhere.” George Clooney.

“I’ll collect paper cups off the ground to make [Obama’s] pathway clear. I’ll do whatever he says.” Halley Barry.

I have to tell you, you know, it's part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama's speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don't have that too often. Chris Mathews.

"It was the best speech I've ever heard. ... And I'm tearing up, and I'm writing down notes, and I'm trying to keep track of this thing. ... His heart must've been broken last night." Chris Mathews.

"If anybody in America has heard a better speech in modern American political history, please email me." Joe Scarbough

“Many spiritually advanced people I know … identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who … can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet.” Mark Morford San Francisco Chronicle.

“The other night I dreamt of Barack Obama. He was taking a shower right when I needed to get into the bathroom to shave my legs.” Judith Warner-NY Times. (She later launched an e-mail inquiry to find out how many women were dreaming about sex with president Obama).

The power of Obama's hand-Andie Colle/Politico.

Obama had a huge cult following, but no zealotry or media propaganda there, right?

I would propose there's an (apparantly subtle) difference between the 2 examples.

President Obama was an inspirational orator. Smart. Kind. Words of unity. A lot of us felt promise during his 2 terms. But, we aren't flying Obama flags, and I didn't see any signs in yards a few years ago saying expletive Trump the way I see stuff in rural Michigan right now.

We all understand this right?
