App price increases to $9.99. Someone has to pay for realignment and media rights. Be careful what you ask for you might have to pay for it...03-hissyfit03-hissyfit

Meh. If they'd put all ECUs games on the plus I'd be fine with it. We'd have better attendance and I wouldn't bother with a cable subscription.

Yeah it would help attendance. I’ve predicting since the addition of the CUSA6 that espn would put a huge number of AAC games on the plus.

At this point, with the streaming services raising prices, might as well go back to cable.

Seriously!? Is that package difference cheaper than Plus?

I really wish they'd consolidate the apps when these packages are bundled. If you get ESPN+ through YTTV, then all ESPN+ content should be on that app, rather than having to move over to ESPN app.

Yes, 6-7 years ago you could get great deals. Now prices are converging, and plus you can stream most of your cable channels away from home.

That and payout per team will tank when the AAC8's sweetheart deal w/ ESPN expires. Adding SIX from CUSA is an unmitigated disaster.

Say what you want, but I'd imagine we'd lose money under all scenarios if A) we didn't sign that deal for the term we did, and B) we didn't bring in as many teams as we did.

First, that's not exactly Nostradamus level work in the prediction department, billybobby777. Contract with Disney says 40 games on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU and the rest to ESPN+. 11-team AAC provides 61.5 games per year . 14-team AAC provides 79.5 games per year with the same number going on linear and the difference being in the "the rest to ESPN+" column.

Second, we have eight years until the next contract starts renegotiating. The AAC will get the value demonstrated in ratings and viewership and performance and brand improvement over those eight years. I suppose further realignment chaos could hit the AAC and further dilute the brand value...in which case the appropriate target of everyone's ire is the realignment chaos, not the rebuilding actions after a single round of it -- rebuilding actions which in fact kept the total value of the 2020-2032 intact.
