Jay Wright didn't go on a year-long swan song or retirement tour. He didn't do it with a huge celebration in his honor. He privately told each of his team members individually and was going to make a short statement at the year-end banquet. It often gets highlighted, but Jay Wright continues to be a coach with full class. He does it with his demeanor, his interviews and, most of all, his actions in stepping away from the game. He always speaks up on the Big East, its programs, its coaches, its players. He doesn't make it about him. Even when Nova won at the buzzer against UNC, in one of the greatest college basketball endings of all-time, he isn't jumping for joy, pounding his chest, etc. He casually walks over to the other team and begins the handshake line.
Incredibly cool.
When posters on this site plan to retire, I wonder if they'll elect for the Coack K route and we'll get a year-long swan song from them (JrSEC, quo vadis, DavidSt, etc).
JRSEC will not retire until every single poster bows down to the SEC.
Quo Vadis can't retire because he has to let us know what games he is watching from his man cave every Saturday.
DavidSt will be churning out lists of DI upgrades from his grave.
DavidSt's tombstone will read:
"Here lies Divisions II and III. They were all DI candidates."
While I may no longer be a D1 candidate, here’s a list of those who may be…
The marker expands to the length of one of the walls for a war or 9/11 memorial.
Splendidly played. Uncle Dazzy chuckled.

I was planning to retire after my 20,000th post but decided there was too much to post about around here.
