They didn't say where their ice hockey team would play. They are currently eligible to play in D-I, but don't, instead playing in the NE-10 and no post-season other than the conference tournament.
I would guess Atlantic Hockey.
Their FAQ says independent for 2022-23 as they seek an affiliation. As a DII team they are eligible to compete for the DI ice hockey championship. Most of the NE-10 schools chose not to.
There may be need for another ice hockey conference.
The AD's of Atlantic Hockey just agreed to re-admit Robert Morris which had dropped their hockey program. This will bring them back up to 12 schools.
There are (potentially) seven schools in need of a conference home.
Alaska-Fairbanks which restarted hockey this past season. Alaska-Anchorage is restarting their program in 2022-23.
LIU had a scheduling alliance with AHA in 2020-21 and has applied for membership.
Arizona State had a scheduling alliance with the B1G in 2020-21 but played an independent schedule this season.
Alabama-Huntsville restarting of ice hockey is conditional on being in a hockey conference.
Utica University wants to play DI hockey, and to do so they are pursuing reclassification of the remainder of their program to DII.
Augustana is likely going to begin ice hockey as is Lindenwood.
What could make sense is for the Ivies to take Army and AFA and start Ivies hockey. This would open several spots in ECAC Hockey and a couple in Atlantic Hockey.
