Was favored to win a Natty with 8 teams left without them.

Big question for next year: does Sasser come back or turn pro?
If he goes pro, I'm sure we'll hit the transfer market for a SG.

Over the years we up here in Cincy understand your frustration....04-cheers

Yeah, it was unreal seeing the missed OPEN treys.

With about 18 seconds left, UH got the ball back after Nova tipped it OB. One of the Cougar guards got an open look from beyond the arc and it rimmed out. Sampson took a T-O and the TV shot showed that shooter about to cry in the team huddle; lower lip trembling. He was truly upset that NO ONE was able to hit a three.

Damn, I felt for that young man.

Houston might crash the Final Four at home next season.

Very possible and I feel for them too, Sampson put it best this wasn’t a game we should have won but a game we could have won.

They gave 40 minutes of great effort and team defense and even the offense was creating those open looks against a great defensive team like ourselves. They just didn’t go in.

These kids weren’t great shooters but last night they didn’t need to be. They stayed together never gave up and even with only a few minutes left if some of those go in instead of rim out we are at another final 4.

Super proud to have been there and I’d go again even if I didn’t have much to cheer about you could feel it in the building if we made a shot the building would erupt because as fans we too have seen this program rise and have so many years of irrelevance to get out of our system lol.

Looking forward to next year

A couple of charging/blocking calls went 'Nova's way as well that turned out to be a 4 point swing. It seem like 'Nova could throw their shoulder into a Houston defender but Houston couldn't touch the 'Nova player driving the the basket without getting a call. Either way, great season Houston!

I saw the same thing with the reffing. Still, you gotta make at least 5 out of 20 three's. Great season for the Cougs. They will be right there next year. Sampson is an excellent coach.

Houston picked a bad time to go flat shooting 3's. I do think Houston beats Villanova at least 7 out of ten times normally but just not that game.
