Congrats on a wonderful season. Honestly, I thought the Cougars were toast after losing two starters but their toughness and resolve carried all the way to the E8. Outstanding in every respect….

FYI Villanova as a team shoots 84% from the free throw line. It’s insane.

Just couldn’t buy a basket all through out the game… Houston’s shooting was MIA unfortunately… but for some reason I don’t feel as bad that we lost.

All good though… Houston will be back and this time with far more arsenal.

Go Coogs/Houston 04-cheers

Really proud of this team. After Sasser and Mark got injured I thought we'd be lucky to win league and maybe win a game or two in the tourney. To make the E8 and have a genuine shot at advancing is just unreal. CKS has built this program the right way. We'll be back next year.

Great defense but ice cold from deep and from the line. Great season and in the end only one team finishes the year with a win.

Crazy I know. Perfect FT shooting against a terrible game from 3 for Houston. Still they were in it til the end.

If the 20 three point attempts were all contested attempts I could understand it, but at least 5 of them were wide open shots, if not more.

A couple of charging/blocking calls went 'Nova's way as well that turned out to be a 4 point swing. It seem like 'Nova could throw their shoulder into a Houston defender but Houston couldn't touch the 'Nova player driving the the basket without getting a call. Either way, great season Houston!

It happens. Sometimes even steph curry can’t hit. They’re human but all season long when one goes cold someone steps up and it just wasn’t there tonight.

What I like is there was no lack of effort. I felt like in Memphis game we kind of just conceded we weren’t going to win twice. But tonight’s team did every thing they could to win and just came up short. Only 1 team can win this thing everyone else will play a bad game and go home at some point.

Very disappointing Houston. You couldn’t just maybe go 3 or 4 of 20 from 3? No, shoot badly and now all us Temple fans have to hear about another Nova final four. Thanks tor nothing.

Houston didn't shoot the ball well, but otherwise played a great game. When you consider they got to the elite 8 without their best player and another key contributor that's an amazing season. Let me say this, Houston had zero business being a 5 seed, they probably should've been a 2.

Great season Houston, look forward to what Sampson brings back next year.

With Sasser and Mark, this team could have easily won a Natty.
Was favored to win a Natty with 8 teams left without them.

Big question for next year: does Sasser come back or turn pro?
If he goes pro, I'm sure we'll hit the transfer market for a SG.

Yeah, it was unreal seeing the missed OPEN treys.

With about 18 seconds left, UH got the ball back after Nova tipped it OB. One of the Cougar guards got an open look from beyond the arc and it rimmed out. Sampson took a T-O and the TV shot showed that shooter about to cry in the team huddle; lower lip trembling. He was truly upset that NO ONE was able to hit a three.

Damn, I felt for that young man.

Houston might crash the Final Four at home next season.

I saw the same thing with the reffing. Still, you gotta make at least 5 out of 20 three's. Great season for the Cougs. They will be right there next year. Sampson is an excellent coach.
