I'd go after Tyler Stevenson in a heart beat. Was impressed every time I saw him play.

Mardrez McBride of North Texas - pretty significant loss for the Mean Green (although I guess I'm old school and have a tough time saying it's a loss when someone finishes out their senior year, and just wants to play one more year of NCAA basketball because the NCAA lets them do so).

Losing McBride hurts. Really hope he reconsiders and stays.

It looks like Souther Miss players want nothing to do with sunbelt basketball.

They all hit the portal after it was announced the coach was staying. But thanks for playing.

You should take a bath in a tub of ice to just chill out...so very serious you are.

So you make a bad attempt at trolling and I need to chill out.. Ok.

Maybe you need to work on your smack game instead of whatever that was.

Have a good weekend sweetums.

There was no trolling, it was a lighthearted comment. But I forgot how sensitive you are and I will think twice before making any future comments in jest. So you enjoy your Sunday sweet pea.

With Hester, we might be good...and maybe 70% OK with Jr for at least one more year depending on the NBA. I think Jr needs at least another year and Hester recruited him to Tech when no one else would. Fingers crossed.

Seeing as this thread was intended to get an early look at the changing hoops rosters for next season, I have removed the SB3. I am also going to try and make a column for portal additions for each team as well.

Thanks for updating the thread. If keeping track of rosters is the goal maybe include those going pro or at least opting for the draft. UTEP's starting pg, Bienemy, has declared for the draft and will forego his remaining eligibility.

The first post looks great Shadow. The additional segmentation creates much better clarity of who's going where.

RE: Transfer Portal Entries
North Texas got a commitment out of the portal from New Hampshire in Jayden Martinez. Kid reminds people a lot of Thomas Bell. He has better offensive numbers, similar rebounding numbers and a slight drop off in defensive efficiency. With a little coaching from Coach Mac, hopefully he can be just as solid as Bell.

Yep, looks like a good get. I added him on the first page this morning.

RE: Transfer Portal Entries
New portal entries today include Saterfield, White and Agnew for UTEP, McNeill for UTSA, Parrish and Hart for FIU, and Jaylen Butz for Western Kentucky. I don't think any of the losses are massive - McNeill has been bouncing around so many schools that I think he's a great example of why the portal is such a joke.

I know another UTEP poster in this thread hinted to this happening early on. What is the reasoning? Golding seems like a good coach and UTEP had a decent season.

Supposedly the players love Golding (atleast players like Boum and Bienemy). All I can do is guess. Verhoeven, Boum, and Bienemy are leaving to go pro. I think the rest are being forced out so Golding can bring in his type of players. Based on what I have seen reported, Golding is after much more length and size (most players hes after are >6'5"). The type of defense he wants to play, we didnt really have the guards for (wing pressure focus). He hasnt really put a focus on PF or C in recruiting, which tells me we might keep a good bulk of our big men.

As of right now, I just hope we hold onto Keonte Kennedy, Zerick Onyema, and Jamari Sibley. We should have Che Evans still, and its looking like maybe Kevin Kalu sticks around.
