Stop it. Stop it. Landers was definitely game planned against like always.
Needed a guard like Nembhard who could keep the defense honest. Go under the screen on Nembhard and it was automatic trey ball all night. Having a backcourt mate like that would've opened it up more for Nolley & Q.
On to next year....

What will the starting unit look like next year? Timberlake has a lot of work to do.

Timme may have played the best 10 minutes of college basketball you could ever see. All that and still a one possession game in the final minute. Very very proud!
He played the best 10 minutes since Bill Walton buried us in 1973.

All you folks want to fluff Timme for stepping up and fluff our guys for laying a fat turd. Can’t have it both ways.

He has a lot going for him.
How a D1 guard shoots 58% from the free throw line is baffling

The 3 ball abandoned us at the end of the year...
But we won the inside game against essentially everyone at the end of the year.

Timme is really good. He was hitting some crazy shots. I think he scored Gonzaga’s first 11 points of the 2nd half.
Agree. He has the heart of a warrior. Just willed his team to win.
We needed Duren to be a beast tonight and he tried, but didn’t finish well enough. That and we needed to shoot better beyond the arc. It’s amazing we kept it that close given neither of those things happened.

Probably Malcolm's best game of the year.
Agree. Hats off to Dandridge for his effort.

We had 5 turnovers. Looking at the stats we did alot of what we had to do. 4-19 from three was the game without even considering impact of refs. Just atrocious shooting.

So without trolling who (players) will likely be back next year?
Lomax, maybe
Nolley, maybe
Lester, yes?
Williams, maybe
Duren, no
Harris, would think yes
Minott, guess yes
Dandridge, yes
Timberlake, would guess yes
Bates, leaning yes
Lawson, yes
Hardaway, yes
Then there is Camden, other Lawson and Onu

Yep, feel like Penny needs to focus on pumping up Lester because he is so much more dangerous when he shoots as soon as he catches it.

If A-Lo is back next year, we will see the same exact issue of our shooters being doubled because A-Lo can’t shoot

Agree about Duren. At least two dumb fouls on his part kept him on the bench a good part of the game.

Outside shots open up the inside and vice versa. Non perimeter lead guard doesn't help in this category. See Nembhard.....
