Agree. He is a good athlete and was a pretty good contributor for Moo State, at least in the few games of theirs I watched.

he's not a glamor guy on offense.
His recruiting isn't all that flashy (with the exception of Westbrook and Love at UCLA)...he's kinda meh personality-wise.

If it can be done at places like Texas Tech...it can be done in Starkvegas.

I dunno. Tech recruits Texas and California. State recruits Mississippi and Alabama. Huge advantage Tech.

they aren't far from Memphis... recruiting-wise. Just go after the players Memphis isn't going after.
You can still get some decent players that way.

I believe Howland underachieved considering he brought a great class this year.. he got Garrison Brooks from North Carolina.. Added DJ from Memphis.. He already had Molinar and Matthews.. He finished with a losing SEC record.

I still can't believe we lost to Georgia.. They finished last in the SEC with a 1-17 and overall record 6-26.

Our defense was all over the place at the time. We were trying to play the scrambling/full court style we like to play, but we weren’t very good at it. It led to too many easy buckets and open 3s. We also fouled them way too much. UGA shot 35 FTs.

And UGA played the best game of their season. Good crowd and they were into the game. Crean was leading cheers on the sideline.

He's at least gone from the NIT, just got beat by UVA. Should have been a home game for State, but the Hump is undergoing renovations, site was unavailable.

DJ Stephens was awesome.. dude was a hidden gem once he blossomed.. He made a nice career in basketball.. He is still playing.. He plays in France now.
