Certainly parking privilege levels could have been maintained as part of the personal seat license payment.
You are absolutely correct. It’s simply a way to extract more money from us, and I’m not falling for it. I give plenty, and I will not increase it.
These are among the reasons we keep seeing/hearing that STF is a candidate for other AD jobs and is still here.
Don't get me wrong---I know that the state has struggles and STF has a great, impeccable track record on getting the university out there on diversity awareness and awards.
But, I would guess after those couple bullet points I can't imagine other schools being enamored with his history here of attendance, growth, hires, long standing relationships, building a donor base, upgrading with what he has to work with, confidence from the alumni, etc.
There is a radical part of me that somewhat believes that he's that, maybe qualified, NFL coach that gets on a lot of interview lists because of the Rooney Rule.
We've been hearing now, for multiple years, that he's a candidate---and for some much more prestigious universities than ours----at some point, you think the blind squirrel would find the nut.
Well, not that he knows me or even cares, but he will lose me as a very long-time mid-4 figures annual donor and season ticket holder next year. I have simply had enough of this crap.

You will be back on the donor bandwagon as soon as he takes you on a ride in his golf cart around Huskie Stadium while you scream in delight "Wheeee!"

RE: Football Season Tickets
Renewed my two season tickets. Apparently they are charging a $25 fee for Convocation Center parking on top of season tickets since they won't be collecting parking fees on gameday.

What?
So if you buy a single game ticket parking at Convo is free…but if you buy season tickets you pay $25?
Is that per seat?
Maybe I’m not understanding…..

parking is prepaid with tickets. I assume you'll get a pass for the car with the tickets. Its $25 for the account. I don't pay to park so I called in my renewal and they eliminated the fee.

It was $25 for Convo parking fee added on top of the cost of the two season tickets. Not per seat.
Since it isn't much money I don't care that much.
But yes, sounds like if you buy single game tickets and choose to park in Convo then you won't be charged to park there. The lady said there wouldn't be parking attendants this season.

Perhaps you will get a permit card for the $25 and parking at the Convo will become permit only. Otherwise, it would not be fair for you to pay while single game ticket purchasers get in for free. However, this is NIU Athletics, so nothing would surprise me.

I emailed and they very nicely/quickly removed the parking fee from my invoice. Further donation either way.

Maybe, but I got no indication from our conversation that anything would be mailed to me. She just said the tickets would be digital unless I requested physical tickets (which I did not).

RE: Football Season Tickets
I renewed my season tickets begrudgingly online today. I requested a physical form, which they did not send. I requested physical tickets and the same parking spaces I've had for several years. Let's see if they comply with my requests. The problem with the online renewal is that I have no copy of my requests as I did with the physical form renewals. I guess I should have just printed the invoice and written my requests on it. No matter what, my concern is that they will screw it up as usual. But, no matter what, this is my last year of fighting with this stuff. I'm getting too old for this.
The removal of the premium seat fees from the donations and them matter-of-factly expecting us to just make that donation up is the straw that broke this camel's back. As HuskieDave correctly mentioned, that "premium seat license" only affects the tax deductibility on our part - not whether or not Athletics counts this as a donation. It's just a way of double-dipping on us.
