A-State's BB Arena has the the ability to retract upstairs bleachers and host 3 BB games at once and reveal an indoor track on the upper level. We once hosted a national AAU event with all the studs and stud coaches because of this flexibility.

You could actually play 5 games at once but there'd only be seating for the main floor.
I watched the Arkansas Wings practice while 3 other games were going on during one of the 17 and under National tournaments.

Correction - I watched the Indians practice during the NEA Tournament with games going on. I've been to lots of tournaments here and they run together at times.

Huge one for TXST is Charles Austin. Gold medal winner in the high jump in the 1996 Olympics. Our baseball/softball complexes are on Charles Austin Drive.

For Louisiana, the only one I remember is Hollis Conway, also a high jumper, a two time Olympic Medalist [a silver and a bronze], Indoor World Champion [1990] Goodwill Games Champion [1991] and World University Games Champion [1991] Until recently he was the holder of US indoor, US outdoor, NCAA indoor and NCAA outdoor records.

AstAte used to host the conference Indoor meet years ago in the old ASC & Sun Belt. I don’t know why we have not hosted in a while. Maybe as someone said the SBC has elected to use a neutral more geographically central facility. The track is flat too and maybe the conference likes the banked ovals of many of the new indoor facilities.
