You're right it isn't, Brazil doesn't have the misfortune to border Russia. The Trump of the Tropics took out plenty of Brazilians over the last couple of years with one of the worlds worst Covid responses though. Unfortunately for Brazil, he recovered when he got it. He'll be replaced by former president Lula da Silva come October, who has held double-digit leads over him for most of the past year -

Thats fine. Lots of nations remained neutral in WWII----the really feckless ones jumped in on the Allied side in 1945 once it became obvious the Allies were going to win. Several S American nations are in that group (Brazil was not one of those by the way---they joined the Allies well before that).

The state department does exactly the same thing time after time after time and the US population hasn’t caught on yet. I think their assumption that people are stupid is a pretty safe assumption. They listen to the news and believe every bit of it, while saying they don’t. They always blame the other party, as if there IS another party. They play people for the fools they are, which is kind of funny, but they ruin a lot of lives all over the world just to make a relatively small amount of money. That is what more and more people in the world now know is what “the American way” means.
