“Belief that one’s entitled to freedom is key component of white supremacy”
Quote:The primarily White supporters of the Freedom Convoy argue that pandemic mandates infringe upon their constitutional rights to freedom. The notion of “freedom” was historically and remains intertwined with Whiteness, as historian Tyler Stovall has argued. The belief that one’s entitlement to freedom is a key component of White supremacy. This explains why the Freedom Convoy members see themselves as entitled to freedom, no matter the public health consequences to those around them.

Canada’s history of freedom then, was founded in the unfreedom of Indigenous people. This dynamic has been unnoticed and misconstrued by organizers, attendees and supporters of the Freedom Convoy. On the GoFundMe, the organizers claimed: “We are a peaceful country that has helped protect nations across the globe from tyrannical governments who oppressed their people, and now it seems it is happening here … We are doing this for our future Generations and to regain our lives back.” They are advancing a settler colonial genealogy that deploys the language of “freedom” and “unity” while engaging in actions that are harmful and violent.

He's wrong. It's not a component of white supremacy. It's Christendom.

I suppose you can make that leap in the sense that there was slavery back in the day, but in the context of today, the masses are against slavery of any kind and decent people treat everyone equally.

We ALL should be free.

We elect officials to represent us - not rule over us.

I don't take anything written in that propaganda rag at face value. The Post and NY Times are the print equivalent of CNN.

I figured this was coming eventually. If the end goal of CRT is Marxism, then yes you have to convince people that freedom is bad or racist. The goal is to enslave you. CRT is just a tool.

There are many prisms from which one can view the world. One single view doesn’t explain every single behavior. Not every single thing is essentially about race, essentially about religion, or essentially economic. Sometimes things are about a bunch of pissed off truckers who’ve had enough!

Founding member of Frankfurt School Marcuse said in one of his papers, repressive theory or something like that, that white people should not have constitutional protections because blacks were mistreated.
