Sometimes I think Campbell waits to see who we are offering and then swoops in to try and snatch them away from us. I mean I know that sounds ridiculous but he always seems to be around

I agree…. It does seem that way…. As a former HC here he undoubtedly watches UT recruiting very very closely and he certainly may be introduced to possible unnoticed players. Then he watches their film and is nudged to offer

We need a true change of direction slot receiver. We had one in Cosby and lost him. This must be a target for 2023. Vanderdoss may fill this role. We'll see.

Newton not quite as elusive as anticipated. He still has upside. Blankumslee can play inside or out but see him more on outside as our only true deep ball threat. Zsiros could come on fast and also give us deep ball potential

When did we stop recruiting western PA? Used to get a lot of good players from there. Only two on the roster, one a transfer.

I agree we have had some pretty good ball players from Western PA come through our gates.

We'll drop back to our normal 65 to 75 once body counts level out. We do have the makings of a good class. It will be a successful class if we can get 7 or 8 to stick with the program for 2 plus years during this time of portal mania

I'm sure Scottie Burnett would love to have him at heavyweight on the wrestling team at Perrysburg. They have a big hole at 285 on a team that had 6 wrestlers in the state finals with 3 winning state championships. All 6 return of those wrestlers return next year along with another that finished 3rd. They are expected to take the team title away from St. Edwards in 2023.

A wrestler UT has missed out on who would be a big help on the OL is Ethan Greene from Fremont Ross. He won the state hvywt. title (Div. 1) with only 1 loss on the season. He took 3rd at hvywt. as a Soph.- which is also impressive. He will be a senior in the fall is listed at 6'7" and 255 - which means he was giving up weight to the upper level wrestlers when on the mat. Likely to repeat as state champ. in 2023. Has an athletic build and could add 30 without it showing. Did see he has signed with Cinci. as an OL. Those aren't always solid this far out. Was recruited by Cinci's DB coach (Perry Eliano) who is from Killeen, Texas and coached at BG in 2016 and 2017 (Associate Head Coach and DC). Iowa State also offered as did Toledo, BG, Tulane, Miami Oh, Akron, EMU, and a few others. I wonder if he even thought of Toledo at all as a possibility.
