We are prepared for both options. The league made a pretty quick decision that we wouldn't leave JMU in the wind once the CAA booted them.

I’m still of the opinion I’ve held all along: just leave and make the f***ers sue us.

Reduced game inventory? On a media deal that pays under $400k per school? Given the league’s history of letting teams walk? See ya in court if that’s how you want to play it.

I would assume you either move Troy or go divisionless. Playing a mix from each side creates an issue of which side of the standings do you count them from a CCG perspective.

I have a question: what happens, esp scheduling-wise, if JMU is the only one to join this year?

We may have to drop divisions for a year. Will make for an odd couple of years.

With odd numbers that's likely, only other option would be a home and home for each western member.

If we drop divisions we could still just stick the top two in a championship game right? That wouldn't be so bad even if it wouldn't be as good as getting to smack ODU.

JMU plays 8 SBC opponents. They are considered conference games for the SBC but JMU won’t have an official league record. JMU game replaces one opponent from the other division on each teams schedule

JMU can’t win football title but will be able to in all other sports

As of this post JMU and ODU are planning to play football in Harrisonburg next season. Take that as you’d like
