So I didn't care just wanted to see good football. Then they compared the two quarterbacks and I had to go with the underdog. Great story for that young man.

Nice win for UGA. They were definitely the better team after UA’s Williams got injured. Good showing for Alabama, though, in a rebuilding year with significant injuries.

I'm not a Georgia fan, but I'm glad to see snotty Bama fans shut up for one year anyway.

RE: 2(0)22 championship- who ya'll rooting for?
FUMBLE ??? How in the L could that have been called a fumble ?
Even after a review ? Compare that call to the earlier call for Alabama where they said QB's arm was in motion and Ala. kept the ball. Officials have messed up a ton of games this past year with their calls. Anyway that is when I really began pulling for Ga. to win this game because they were getting screwed.

The last time Bama played Georgia for the national title Georgia was up and cruising...until 5 major ref calls changed the game in favor of Alabama.
Bama gets a lot of calls or no call protection by the refs in games....its why I was glad to see someone else win.
I still think they need to fix the 4 team playoffs where no conference has more than 1 team in it.
I didn't think Bama deserved to be in it years ago when they beat Georgia...without a SEC title... this year I didn't think Georgia belonged in without a SEC title either.

There are a couple of local kids on the Georgia roster…
Bill Norton from CBHS
Nakobe Dean from Horn Lake

Happy to see them get a championship ring.

Some people will buy any narrative ESPN throws at them.

To be clear: presskh, I generally like your posts. Not a shot at you. I'm just amazed how many people take the spoon fed narrative, rather than thinking for themselves.

Man you gotta be kidding. Georgia was clearly the best team in the nation all year.

One of the reasons for the playoff is so your season is not toast after 1 bad day. Georgia dominated the SEC regular season in historic fashion, the best conf in football by a mile.

There was only one undefeated team, Cincy. Everyone else had a loss.

You REALLY post some whoppers from time to time.

Seriously. Hopefully the world lasts 200 billion more years and they never win another championship. They’ve won plenty.

The problem with the thinking that Georgia "didn't belong" is that it is the same line of thinking that says that no G5 ever belongs in the CFP. Georgia clearly belonged, and they could very likely have been the only SEC team in it had they just taken care of Bama the first time.

The problem is the ratings. The 12 team playoff will never come if they know they don't have to change anything and still get everybody to watch.

I was torn on this one. The ball was slipping out of his hand, but his arm went forward and the ball went forward. I suppose the call was the right b/c he didn’t have control of the ball as his arm went forward.

When they started this I was screaming why not a 12-16 team playoff?

Now after watching it play out for 5+ years I prefer the 4 team playoff. The best team in the nation usually wins and the teams closest to them get a fair shake.

No system is perfect but I think the 4 team format is as close as we can get.

Saw Matt Luke was actually a Georgia assistant. I figured he'd be tilling soybeans from atop a tractor in Tishomingo County today. Good for him.
