"Alright. End this thread."
Let's not. Game today is postponed. To made up later!
Anyone still believing face masks work has to be an idiot.

Thanks for informing us idiots who didn’t see the announcement when it came out a week ago.

RE: MBB schedule update
Now that we idiots have been informed by a medical expert that masks don't work, I will finally free myself from wearing a mask anywhere and will joyously leave the idiots club. What a weight has been lifted from my shoulders! And, it feels SO good to no longer be an idiot!

Face masks .....
Next time you have surgery (or a loved one has surgery) make sure you tell the surgeon to take off his / her face mask and to have everyone in the operating theater take theirs off cuz you know that masks don't work. You "know" that masks won't keep you or your loved one safe from germs, bacteria, and/ or viruses emanating from the people in the room.
Seriously, if you don't do that .... then does that make you a "Sheep?"

I was under the belief that the Covid particles were smaller than what the basic masks stopped. Also, how often were people changing masks and were they washing/sanitizing their hands when putting masks on and taking them off. After removing, rehashing hands as you touched a dirty mask. N95 masks work but they are expensive and in short supply.

I use a KN95 mask. And I wash my hands a lot. Except, of course, when removing my underwear. I mean, why spoil the thrill?

Hospital quality masks ask work against droplets by which germs (not viruses) travel that is why surgeons, dentists etc. wear them to protect you. They do not work as well against airborne respiratory viruses and the cloth and paper diapers they make us everyday folk wear are useless. Hence all the infections from the latest strain. It is all theater, either require a N95 quality mask or leave me alone. I have done my research, and this is what I get out of it. Believe what you want, but please try to educate for an informed opinion.

Wearing a mask is not a fool proof way to prevent COVID in part for some of the reasons you enumerated. However, masks prevent the spread of COVID because they prevent coughs and sneezes and the like to propel particles into the air and across the room where they can and will infect other people. If you are in a small space with a contagious person for twenty minutes, you will likely get infected. If you are in the same small enclosed space with a contagious person for twenty minutes and that person is wearing a mask and you are wearing a mask, the likelihood that you will be infected becomes much much lower (dare I say immeasurable).
So if the question is, does wearing a mask guarantee you will not get COVID? The answer is no. If the question is, are we all much safer if people wear masks when around other people or in enclosed spaces with others? Then the answer is a clear and resounding Yes!
Logical arguments could be constructed where it may not be necessary to wear a mask in certain fact specific situations. But a blanket "masks don't work?" Well, that's just obviously-- shall we say --- misguided?

Can you and El Duderino share the exhaustive research, studies, and lab work you've conducted so we can compare that with what the CDC has put out? Also, share your educational background in epidemiology?

MBB schedule update
The women’s game tomorrow is still on, as of now. For the hundreds of you going, remember to bring your masks.

Great point, 57. I hear from my physician friends it is amazing that these anti-science anti-VAX or anti-mask people all the sudden trust science and doctors when they are fighting for their lives with Covid in the hospital

Another positive of the mask wearing is the unheard of record low cases of the Flu.
