RE: W&M in SoCon
Matt Brown is saying Monmouth is a full add as part of a plan to go to 14 full members. So who are the other 4 additions?

Surprising, to say the least.

My guess now:
Fairfield, VMI, the Citadel. All sports.
With Monmouth, that’s 4.

I'd like this. Nothing's perfect but those would be some solid additions.

Yeah, they’re not paying their coach 1M a year to move from one garbage conference to another. They are moving to the A10 if at all.

There seem to be some errors in this blog post. Is a Flo subscription really $29.99 per month as stated in the blog post? I went to the Flo website and couldn't find a price.

Many of the southern CAA schools recruit students from the Northeast and they like the exposure up there. I heard that was part of the reason for Elon's interest in the CAA.

South Carolina is in desperate need of students and the state legislature is getting ready to approve in state tuition for NC and GA students. And take into consideration that 50% of CofC students are out of state and there is ZERO reason CofC heads to the SoCon. The writer has been sniffing glue.

Yeah, from my understanding part of the appeal of the CAA is the geographic spread. They also honestly understated it, saying it goes from Philly to SC. There's also Northeastern and all the NYC schools.

That was a big part of it, yes. Charleston actually left before Davidson and had a relatively short stint within the So Con. Fact is that their plight would be no different this year within the So Con. And if they competed in the A10, they wouldn’t be sporting the record they have right now.,

Given the reasons Charleston provided for joining the CAA, they could make the same argument for the A10. Their expenses would increase though even if moderately so if they have any financial duress, I doubt they are looking to make any shifts.

Omar seems like an energetic young writer though his articles don’t seem to be based on having his ear to the ground.
