Is it 2023 or 2025?
Until further notice, OU and Tejas will be in the Big XII until 2025.
With any luck for you guys, the Big 12 won’t add until UT and OU leave, and the AAC will go ahead and add you guys in 2023, give you two seasons back with Cincinnati, Houston and UCF. But not sure how the AAC adds all the CUSA teams before those 3 leave. Would get awfully crowded over there.
Mark Ingram said in an interview yesterday that 2023 is the goal for entry and fall 2024 is the absolute latest that UAB will join. Meaning it is possible to get a season with them unless Big XII takes the AAC teams before Texas and Oklahoma leave. Who knows at this point

I would think you guys are excited to get USF, Tulsa, Tulane, ECU and Memphis back on the schedule. But do any of the current CUSA that are also going to the AAC excite you guys?
I’m personally excited about Marshall and USM coming into the SBC, especially since USM is only 90 miles from Mobile. If we stick with USM through the future, I think id be ok with that. Is there any one school that you guys want to matched with, my first instinct would say Memphis for you guys.

We will be in the same division as Memphis, I would assume... the only football game we have with a running trophy, so... along with the historic basketball connection (Bartow took Memphis (State) to the Final Four) we have with them, they are by far our biggest rival... but we also have had some good games with East Carolina and Tulane...

UTSA, it’s too bad they’re likely going to be in the opposite division, cause that could turn into a good rivalry. I like UNT, particularly for basketball, but they could turn football around with their facilities and location.
The rest are potential, still a lot to prove. Though Rice appears to have our number. Damn nerds.

How does Rice have UAB’s number? UAB is 4-1 vs Rice since the return and leads series 6-4; UAB is 17-3 vs Rice in basketball

Good point. I’ll just blindly wear the green and gold shades from now on.

I don't think that's a foregone conclusion unless someone here with insider's information knows otherwise.

I'm more of a basketball fan so I'm pretty damn excited about adding SMU, Temple, Memphis, Wichita St, and Tulsa to the schedule. It's going to be great to not be the only top-100 KenPom Program in the conference, and I hope we're ready for the challenge.
For your other question - I think they're all exciting adds. But to be specific, UTSA and Charlotte seem like they have so much potential to help us build the conference back up.

CBS is reporting that Houston, Cincinnati and UCF will join the BigXII in 2023. BEFORE Oklahoma and Texas leave. This should end all the uniformed talk about schools being "blocked" because other schools haven't left yet.

I just wonder if UT and OU will use them being added as a reason to be able to break the contract and not pay $100’s on millions to get out early.

That's good news. Should clear the way for us to join the AAC in fall of 2023. Only one more season in CUSA!

Lmao I was speaking more recently.
So the last football game and the last basketball game because that is literally the extent of it. Lol.
Yes, Rice had uab’s number in those two games.

Translated: the lawyers said to say this specific language to enforce the bylaws regarding exit fees.
Further translated: you can buy your way out.

Personally, I don't care about the others but I hope to see Mississippi Southern at Protective Stadium in 2022. I'm going to miss the buzzards when they're gone. By far my favorite FB rivalry.
