At Charlotte there is a University wide testing policy. As of 1/4/22 people that are not vaccinated and boosted are required to get tested before being let back into dorms and into classes. There is also a weekly testing requirement for the unvaccinated population. I'm not sure if this is just a Charlotte policy or if it comes from the UNC system which Charlotte is a part of with 15 other schools including ECU and Chapel Hill. Universities are basically in CYA mode.

The unvaccinated are not the problem. It's the vaccinated people that are coming down with all the COVID cases now. Everywhere around me, I see people who have been vaccinated coming down with COVID. It's insane.

RE: CUSA Basketball - Week 1 of Conference Play
Rice women also can't play right now due to Covid. I think they've had to cancel 3 or 4 straight games now dating back a few weeks? The Rice men seem to be okay for their game at UNT on Saturday.

And still nothing from the conference on a change to the official policy. Technically, a cancellation right now is considered a forfeit. But I think most teams are working under the assumption that they're going to re-schedule the games - and that CUSA just is too backwards to put out an official release with an updated policy.

Everyone is getting it, but it’s still the unvaccinated that are making up nearly all the hospitalizations.

RE: CUSA Basketball - Week 1 of Conference Play
FIU and ODU are playing, but are they limiting fans at the FIU games? It's not like a Rice fan should talk attendance smack, but it's just odd how the fans at the game are spaced out apart - surely that can't be an accident? It's also such a strange court, with the top part of the court being waves - it's tough to tell where the court ends to be honest.

They are absolutely the problem because they are the ones that are making up the majority of the hospitalizations.

This officiating is atrocious.

You can not defend the foul and Technical on Lofton.

Let's all agree that if you are a breathing human, you can transmit diseases. Back to basketball.

Pretty cheap that early in a game. Gonna hurt La. Tech the rest of the half.
