To be fair, I don't think we should be so high.

Agreed.

It's a flawed look at it though. It's based on what those teams rating would be in C-USA. The variables would change in the AAC 2.0. I don't know how different it would be, but it would be different. For instance, strength of schedule would be better in the AAC and since (right now) it's pretty self-referential, that's an important variable that cascades through the ratings. That's just one of those types of variables that are factored into the NET rankings.

Those schools will take a hit losing top 60 Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF though, by that logic. This league isn’t looking like much of an upgrade until UTSA and FAU pull it together

Of course, only further supports what I was saying.

Almost halfway through conference schedule 7/18 games, and UAB is 37 with UNT and LaTech also making significant improvements.

If we hop above 30, which likely will not happen without some good chaos above, that’ll give Rice and South Carolina Quad 1 wins, and UNT and LaTech a Q1 loss instead of Q2 loss. Will that cause the algorithm to adjust all of us higher?

I think that would be correct. But we really need Saint Louis to keep winning. Their 72 so 3 spots away from falling out of a quad 1 for us.

It's a long shot, but it would also help if Rice can go on a decent run and potentially move out of being a quad 3 loss for us. They're 164 and would need to be 135 for it to become a quad 2 loss.

Agreed but at the same time, LaTech keeps winning and they are a Q1 for us
