The Fletcher ship may have sailed. Hampton seems like a 2023 prospect. I think Lynch would immediately be Rocky’s back up and sometime replacement.

I agree. I could see Fletcher bailing after bowl game. Florida bound. If Idaho bowl then he might be in portal lol

Hampton, Fletcher, Lomax, Cremascoli + full confidence in Hammock to sell NIU as a destination for a high level grad transfer for 2023 if needed make me not at all worried about the QB room.

Lombardi's former WR is in the portal. He should recruit him to join NIU.

Gotta wonder if this run heavy philosophy could be a detriment to recruiting WRs? Portal or HS. But next year Would be the one to capitalize. WMU will be breaking in a new QB and Toledos QB is myeh compared to most they’ve had. CMU could present a challenge especially since White is from Michigan

WMU’s QB was only a sophomore this season and has another year left.

WMU’s QB was only a sophomore this season and has another year left.

Hearing rumbling he will enter draft. I’ve seen him in mocks going third round. He’s been there since 2018. I’m hoping he’s graduated and wants to move on.

Fletcher if not QB is a LB. ... ..QB ..keep an eye on Lomax 6'3 +200 lbs and great motion.

I think Lynch would be a fabulous addition. He is a great athlete and I saw a lot of juice when he ran and he looked the part throwing in limited action in the game I saw. Of course, he will need to be developed but I see a lot of potential. He's not nearly as strong as Jordan, but he looks like he can be able to be developed into a great college QB. I'd love to see it happen.

Thomas and Oppong may size themselves out of the position. 285 and 275 makes it hard to be quick to the QB unless you’re a special athlete.

Kennedy has another year of eligibility left, and even on the roster is listed as a JR, so I believe his plan is to come back. That being said, yes I think Green-May will be at DE. He's listed as a OLB @ Wisc but they run a lot of 3-4 defense so essentially has always been a DE/Pass Rusher

Didn’t know that about Kennedy. That’s great to hear. For some reason it felt like he was one of those old dudes.

Maybe it’s just me but I’m really looking forward to a much improved defense in ‘22. Every position should be bigger & better. Just need to bolster the LBs to fill Lance’s departure.

He is one of those old dudes haha. He will be in his 6th season having taken a RS and the covid year... He will be one of 8 players taking advantage of a 6th year. Along with one 5th year. So a SR class at 9 for next year.

The rest of the roster for next year:

7 JRs

41 Sophs

71 freshmen

Keep in mind all those #'s are based off eligibility remaining, and not every guy is going to make use of the extra year. It is also based on who had or had not burned a RS prior to the MACC game and there are numerous whose status could change based on that game and the bowl. Also, the commits and transfers as they stand now, as far as I know, so definitely probable that some of that changes somewhat as well if guys don't actually sign or any more transfers happen.

I think you will probably see alot kids transfer from NIU this year. If you are on 4th or 5th string in the group of 71 freshmen, chances are that you will not see much playing time in the next 4 years.

I never saw much upside in Pedro anyways...
