Disappointing that I won't be there. I was there last week and brought some folks with me and I was really hoping I could believe the rumors last week that we would get Saturday at noon since we'd be the only east coast team but it didn't work out. I have unmovable events Friday night and Saturday night. What's a little more upsetting is that I've reached out to all of the people I usually bring with me to let them know they should go anyway since it'll be a great game and likely the last playoff game ever here and none of them are interested in going. I love having the 10k passionate fans but we really need to find the other 6-10k moderate fans who go when they can. I use to be a season ticket holder then switched to just going to playoffs and marquee games. I'm hoping starting in the next few years most of the games will be marquee and competitive.

Hopefully we get 15k+ tomo and create a great environment! I was near SLU's side last weekend and they only had about 100 there I'd expect a little better from the griz though.

We couldn't get 22k for a playoff game if NDSU were our opponent. We have NEVER had that many at a playoff game. It's easy to call out our fan base and say they aren't supporting our team when you look at playoff attendance. This is an argument every year, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt since this is your first post.
There's a difference between games being scheduled months in advance and a game you find out about in less than 7 days. It may be easy for you to make a game, but what about the majority of fans that are out of town. Some are working and cannot get off work in less than a week's notice. And then add on top of that holidays and the fact that people make plans with their families around this time of year. Some people are not okay with canceling plans to go to a playoff game. Especially after the family committed the the regular season games. There are SO many reasons.
Yes, people are aware of the game. I'm sure a ton of people will watch on ESPN2 tomorrow night.
Just curious... how many people are you bringing to the game?
What matters is those that WILL be there. Those that will be there want to be there and will be loud.

Lastly, your argument for Sun Belt opponents doesn't hold a lot of water. We play an FCS schedule right now and we are bringing in numbers that are already better than a majority of schools in the Sun Belt. That's not a dis on them, but more of a complement to us. Our attendance will improve and we will sell out more. But if we can get high number of fans at a Towson game, we can certainly bring in fans for Arkansas State and any others you may think don't bring the casual fan in.

I think people are vastly underestimating the basketballs games impact on last week and this coming weekend.

For many die hards, the uva game was a can’t miss. And it was a known date for months.

Expecting this:

Saturday football
Tuesday hoops
Friday football

That’s tough this time of year. Especially when 2 of the 3 likely require leaving or missing work entirely.

It’s a shame we didn’t get the Saturday game. I’d bet a ton more people would go.

Lower level seats are starting to fill out. I'd be pretty happy if we get to 15-16k this friday after the huge basketball game

Also hoping for a large turnout from the students. If they show up big that could make this a great atmosphere.

For those who can't attend, donation tickets can help a lot too, and typically go to local youth groups. Would be great to see that crowd also.

This is not to knock the FCS playoffs. Playoffs are a lot of fun. But it is obvious that FCS playoffs are not important to a lot of JMU fans. They had all year to choose to plan for it, even if not a home game. Obviously family and job obligations are way more important....

I too think the student involvement is key tomorrow. Give away Chick-fil-A for a year, a year’s scholarship, hand out AirPods at the gate. Let’s pack those GA seats!!!

Is it too late for that? Great idea, how do we contribute? I was at last weeks game (weak attendance) and at the UVA game Tues where a buddys kid said tickets for playoffs cost $15 for students, which doesn't seem like alot but if it is that or a 12 pack, likely they go for the 12 pack. How do we contribute to student tix???

They announced at the basketball game they will be giving away a meal plan, which is worth a good amount of money. If I'm a student I want that just so I can stick some money back in my pocket. And thats some good eating for anyone who has been living on pizza and ramen.

Unfortunately it looks like the link for that has disappeared from the ticket site since i purchased tickets. It might be a little too late for them to coordinate it now with various groups. JMU has done this for a lot of our past playoff games also.

It was on the ticket website itself as an option for ticket purchase. You could purchase donation tickets the same way as others. Was in a different category link like the student ticket link. This is for high school students, youth groups etc. JMU students already get free tickets.
