I don’t care what you have to do to get to Harrisonburg by game time Friday night - planes - trains - automobiles - bike - skateboard - foot. The Nation needs to get there in full force! All 25,000 — there hasn’t been a bigger game in Harrisonburg in a decade. Likely the last ever playoff home game (fingers crossed ETSU knocks off NDSU of course). Tell your co-workers you won’t be at the company Christmas Party this year. Tell your grandma you’ll make her 101st birthday next year. Weddings, childbirth, natural disasters, and alien annihilation will have to wait until 11 pm Friday night. That is all. Carry on.

Some old timers like me can think about this, but isn’t the week ahead the biggest in JMU history, considering we will be hosting two games on national cable TV (CBS Sports Network and ESPN2) in a three day span?

Just incredible. And one is hosting UVA.

I remember one weekend in December in the early 90s when on the same day we played at Marshall in the 1-AA playoffs with Cawley and Brooks and that night beat Purdue at the Convo, and then the next day we had a playoff soccer game against UVA. None of those were on anything more than regional TV.

Most of our group will be there as early as they open the lots. Can anyone remember what time they closed the lots to students/faculty last time we played on a Friday night? I want to say it was either 3pm or 4pm that we could start tailgating.

FYI lots do not open until 4pm per JMU because of classes still in session.

Lining up at 3:55 PM then. Professors need to show a little wisdom here and get students out early, maybe even cancel Friday afternoon class and give an online assignment. Playoff football > Friday afternoon class.

It is early, but the weather looks to be very mild for a December night. No built-in excuses for our fairweather fans.

I assumed I wouldn't be able to make it since I'll be out of town next weekend for family Christmas stuff, so I went to yesterday's game. HOWEVER, thanks to this being the Friday night game, I'll be able to go since we're not leaving until Saturday morning! So excited. Can't wait for some Montana payback. Time to start the revenge tour before we move up!

Has there ever been a "good turnout" for a playoff game in recent memory? I don't remember the stadium ever being more than half full, even for when we hosted semi's

It was for the last time Montana came. Obviously more than a few years ago though.

Agree 100% - turnout yesterday was abysmal, student section was sparse as well, great weather not sure the excuses. If everyone here harasses 10 people to come, we should be ok! I will start my harassment forthwith!
