Knipe hasn't played much this year that I recall. Mason has played a bit on special teams.

Montgomery is probably the RB but switching over to WR in motion? He's been playing more the last few games because Myers is out.

These games all look like scrimmages to me. Critical details are overlooked and no real intensity it seems.

3rd & 9 at Rice 32. Constantine is flushed right ... pass complete on the sideline ... but OB.

The UTEP "Heavy Package" is back in. No false start this time. Massive scrum up the middle scores, just barely.

Nothing inspires confidence in a come back like a 1 yard run up the middle on 1st down.

1st down at the 25. Run into the knot of lineman, rather than open space left or right. Gains 1. Grrr.

Pass right ... nearly intercepted!

3rd & 9 ... Constantine retreats from the rush ... tosses over the middle to Campbell. 1st down at the 40!!

Montgomery run right gets only 1.

Another run into the middle. Griffin is deflected left and tackled after gaining only 1.

That punt on 4th and 2 from midfield is so weak.

EDIT: And of course UTEP breaks one on the next play.

As the ESPN team laments UTEP's inability to run the ball this game ... the same fellow that nearly scored on that screen pass (Awatt) ... took a handoff right, then through the line and all the way down to the 7!! ARRGH!!

Two plays later ... a short run scores a Miner TD.
