OT - Sarofim Hall (Rice new Arts building)

They announced some new information and architectural drawings earlier this week of Sarofim Hall. I think (?) this will be right off the entrance to Rice at University and Stockton, so it should be pretty visible if you're attending an event at HRS, Tudor or Reckling.

Correct.

The Rice release says it will be adjacent to the Moody Center and act "as a new entrance to the university". So it will apparently replace the "Media Center", which opened in 1970.

I haven't seen any diagrams of the building's footprint, but I wonder if its construction will eliminate the garden at the corner of University & the Stockton entrance (visible in this campus map), which was where the now-demolished Art Barn was situated.
