Game 11: Richmond
Series is tied. Chance to hand Richmond a losing season. This should be a blood bath.

Just finish the season on a high note and win. Go Tribe!

RE: Game 11: Richmond
Yes, let's win. There is a huge difference between being 7-4 (and at least in the vicinity of the playoff bubble), with Richmond having a losing season, .........and being 6-5, with Richmond having a winning season, the Capital Cup, plus the lead in the all-time series. Plus, 6-5 for us would be extra bad considering that we started 5-1 and 6-2.

RE: Game 11: Richmond
Will Wilson start? Just a shame he was pulled after one so-so game and four consecutive excellent ones. He is
one of the best freshman qbs ever to start at W&M.

Not a surprise. I recall even during the period when we were winning that London was quoted as saying Mathis was the starting QB. He was not ready in the Lafayette game either. If Wilson is banged up or CV19 traced, the move to Mathis is understood, otherwise........pretty odd. Shame Cole Northrup left the team, he looked to be the guy they added knowing Mathis was not going to ready to get back into action. We knew he could pass because we played against him.

If I am Wilson, I may be looking to transfer. I just hope there was another reason that Mathis got the start besides "it was his job when he was injured.".

Wilson would be a fool to transfer and he’s no fool.

Didn't he leave after he was skipped over after we faced Lafayette, his former team?

RE: Game 11: Richmond
Program has made a lot of progress this season. With Mancuso back for Richmond this will be as tough a game as we've had this season. There is much incentive for both programs. We need to plant a big stake this Saturday that our program is taking no further steps back and that we are the real deal. Passing game will need to be a major focus for next season to continue moving forward, and we are lucky we have our valuable QB's back to continue that progress. Villanova, Richmond, and Elon do not. Irrelevent, but even JMU will struggle to find a new QB next year. For this season, it's time for all Tribe fans to show up Saturday and give them the support they deserve to drive that stake, and claim third place in the league. Go Tribe!

If anyone is wondering, Gage Herdman will be able to play against Richmond. His ejection for targeting occurred in the first half so he has completed the penalty of sitting out an additional half of competition.

Good news. He always shows up to play. The roster shows Herdman as a senior though it looks like he still has one or two years of eligibility left. Is that right?

RE: Game 11: Richmond
Obviously, gotta win this one to even have a chance of getting in.

Other games we need to keep an eye on.

Rhode Island @ Elon: A Rhode Island win here would be a back breaker, unless you think the CAA has a shot of 4 teams getting in.

North Dakota @ South Dakota State: SDSU is coming off a brutal loss, and is possibly on the bubble, so a UND win here would be huge.

Monmouth @ Kennesaw State: Kennesaw State is top 5 in the country and ranked 5th. Monmouth is on the bubble, so a Kennesaw win here knocks Monmouth out completely, and helps W&M out a lot.

Mercer @ ETSU: This is probably the biggest game in the FCS on Saturday. Winner wins the Socon outright. For us, a Mercer loss would knock them out almost completely, imo. ETSU has an FBS win (a SEC win i might add) and are probably in no matter what. Need an ETSU win.

Most importantly, F Richmond.

He has one year left after this year, I believe.

Beat Richmond and send a lot of seniors out on top. It’s all or nothing Saturday for a great group of last season guys.
