I could easily say the league canceled the Slum Belch championship game to protect UL-Lafayette's season-ending national rank, but they claim it was due to COVID protocol, so I don't think FrankyP can substantiate his claim anymore than I could substantiate mine about their canceled conference title game.

We offered Tech to play but Tech wanted too much money for the matchup since it would’ve replaced their home game against an FCS (can’t remember who it was).

And they cancelled the SBC Championship game to protect Coastal’s ranking. Coastal was the 2nd ranked G5 behind Cincinnati. If Cinci would’ve lost to Tulsa in the AAC Championship game, Coastal would’ve jumped them and gotten the spot in the Peach Bowl. Our team was already in Conway when the game was announced.

Our FCS game was on September 26th against Houston Baptist. ULL played Georgia Southern on that date. You want us to believe that y'all tried to schedule Tech and cancel a conference game? Surely you can see where this doesn't make sense at all.

Then, it must've been when the La Tech/UNLV game was cancelled on September 5th. All I know is that we reached out, and La Tech asked for a sum of money to make up for the lost game that we weren't going to pay.

So we were going to make money by sending our team to Las Vegas and playing UNLV in a game where they were not paying us to come play them? And we wanted you guys to pay us that amount? Do you think that makes sense at all?

I honestly don't know. All I know is that we reached out.

That's so fascinating!!! It sounds like you support Judy MacLeod's attempt to seek realignment between the AAC and CUSA and that the Sun Belt should be part of that, yes?

Where in my post did you get that idea? 03-lol

It does. It gets very old. But for all of our fellow conference mates' "complaints" about it, this boards administrators won't DARE ban some of the a-holes from ULALA, or even lift a finger to mitigate the disruption. There's no question that secretly, some of our own conference mates love the turmoil caused by ULALA in particular. I'm sure many see it as a way to neutralize LA Tech's success in CUSA. They love to complain about it. Or else they would do something about it.

LOL. What is it with La Tech fans and banning fans from other schools? LaTechReport is notorious for that on their social media platforms. Do they not believe in free speech in Ruston?

And I do need to add something else before I leave: I think a lot of this animosity about us posting is because there was a great back and forth between myself, sicem and others on that other thread. That REALLY po’d a few folks. It destroyed the narratives of several posters.
Have a great day everyone!

The other thread was fine. The issue is your comrades coming in here and firebombing every thread just because. We can all be pleasant, but respect is needed. Franky, you have been pleasant at times but no saint for sure.

That's so interesting and funny. So you're saying the Sun Belt won't join the realignment of leagues idea as mentioned in the original post topic? That's probably why the Sun Belt didn't receive any letter similar to the one Aresco got.

The Sun Belt didn't receive a letter because they said they weren't interested. Also, CUSA is doing this because it's a way to cover for themselves with the impending doom of being poached by the AAC and possibly the Sun Belt. So instead of joining, we will just take some of your schools. (thumbs up)

Sun Belt could take one. It's unlikely you would get more than that considering half of Belt schools lose money every year.
