Great win! Toledo shot the selves in the foot quite a bit. As did we. I don’t know what you do about the offense going forward. And I know people are going to say Lombardi was “clutch”, but if he just played decently he would have never needed to make that last throw. I would prefer my qb to be clutch the first 58 minutes, not just the last 2.

Totally disagree. That was a game this team could have won by at least 2 scores. What it turned in to was a ******* mess.

A win is a win. But if there isn’t time taken to learn from this I don’t know what you can say.

The defensive scheme was 100% different. The safeties do an awful job in man coverage, they are totally lost. That said, when pressure is coming down on a college QB - most of the time you will see bad passes. Stick with the pressure D.

I think Brown wore down on offense. Not unexpected. Ducker was very good. RatDog was RatDog.

Richie is a guy who will play on Sunday and all we will say is that we wish he had a better passer.

Any win over Toledo is a great one, regardless of how ugly it was.

Toledo fans bitching about the P.I. call on them at the end but no mention of the bs P.I. at the end on NIU where their WR clearly ran into the DB looking for the call.

Brown was seeing Toledo stuff the box with 8 defenders. Toledo was just playing the run in the 2nd half.

Incorrect. If you can’t be honest about what you are seeing that’s not being a fan - that’s just being a sheep.

You are right, we won and that result is to be celebrated! We had so many mistakes that NIU should have been destroyed. They weren’t. Toledo should look in the mirror and ask what the heck is going on.

If NIU wants to have a legit MAC West challenging season improvements need to be made. Calling it like it is - is what fans should do. This team can fix the mistakes it is making.

We are already challenging for the MAC West and for a team everyone predicted to finish last in the West. We just took one on the road against a MAC West opponent that is likely better than everyone else in the division except for WMU. We were 13 point underdogs. I'm just gonna celebrate the win!

If we had a consistent QB it would help. We do have a ways to go. The defense has improved a lot.
