Which NIU defense will show up? They must have missed the bus for the Michigan game.
….or maybe it was BECAUSE it was Michigan. Toledo is mid pack in the country in rushing. If they rush for 350+ against the Huskies, it’s gonna be all kinds of ugly. It won’t be the 35 like Eastern Michigan put up last week either. Keeping Toledo to the 150 range is an absolute must to stay in the game.

The defense has for the most part been consistently below average. They looked good vs GT and EMU but those were games we got pressure from the DL and blitzing. If we can't get the pressure we need then we will need a clean game by the offense (minimal penalties and one or less turnovers) to win. We have yet to have a game with no turnovers.
I think we run the ball fine. But we need the coordinator to use Rocky to his strengths which is rolling him out for run-pass option. Forcing him to sit back as a statue is not his strength.

Toledo is going to pass a lot, with the NIU safeties giving up lots of yards, unfortunately. The only hope is to pressure the QB into some mistakes.

The whole team was crap that game. Luckily, it’s behind us and we’re trending the right direction.
