C'mon boys, let's try to get along. We're all brothers/sisters in the Sun Belt. Although it sounds like a dig, chances are it's not. I can see it would be on this board, but not necessarily from a coach. It's all good.

Just some quick thoughts from my first Cajun Field experience:

We started off at the alumni association tent, where there was free beer/seltzer and jambalaya. I think I ate too much jambalaya, but it was worth it! (Wasn't expecting the spice level, but it was great!) The tailgating lot was really alive, and everybody was having a good time. It was a larger crowd out there than I was expecting.

We sat in the upper deck, but it was Row 2, so it was a great view! The crowd was small, as UL fans told me it would be. But even though there were only 20,000 or so, it was a LOUD 20,000 at times. The crowd was really into it, and despite the issues with the videoboard going out repeatedly, they were not deterred.

The fireworks were cool! I wish ECU did that.

I had a bunch of strawberry daiquiris during the game... kudos to UL for having that as an option! Haha

I didn't expect the outcome of the game. Louisiana looked really strong, and the D really came to play. Congrats on a big win!

It was Louisiana and their name. Of course they are sensitive. Its who they are. I really doubt Apps coach was thinking to much about the Cajuns name. He was thinking how am going to explain this to those crazy mountain people.

Glad you had a good time last night. Tuesday games are attendance killers. I guarantee you if this game were on the weekend, attendance would have been much larger, and the tailgating would have been many times greater than what you saw.

You'll have to excuse us for the condition of the stadium. The old girl is 50 years old. She is finally getting a 75 million makeover in the offseason.

You people are delusional if you think anyone outside of Louisiana really gives two cents about the whole Louisiana Lafayette thing. Your athletic department can brand all they want. I hope they’re successful in getting what they want. But if you think it’s an every day facet of life for people, even in your own conference, they’re probably more focused on their own team and a little less worried about what you wanna be called. Not every instance of somebody not taking the time to stop and get it right, is somebody purposely going out of their way to be disrespectful. That’s all on you guys.

I would imagine FSU, UM, WVU and Arizona would be the biggest threats after that. I dont see him taking a Cali job. I think Cali politics is slowly killing football in that state.

I accidently say Louisiana Lafayette from time to time - I even hear media guys do it (and sometimes just Lafayette).

I get called Appy State ALL THE TIME and people don't know it bothers us/me. I have started to give in a bit and not care if I get called Appy State. I have found more times than not they didn't know better. All Good. Relax. Good game for sure.

Ok, ok. I retract my earlier comments. Some background: I didn’t get much sleep last night, getting up at my usual wee early time and was out having breakfast and had a mimosa. Guess it all just helped to set me off.

Great to get your feedback. And yep, those UD seats are some of the best in the house….sat in ours for years now. Did yours fold up or down, lol? A lot of them do not. And you have to know where you’re going cuz nothing labeled anymore, plus the on-line seating chart doesn’t match the actual seats.

Sorry, I had a slight chuckle at you finding the jambalaya too spicy. Your yankee roots are showing! You’ll get used to it, just stay after it.
