So far this has been for me one of the more exciting teams we have fielded in the last 10 years, at least what I can see on TV and video. They play like aggressive underdogs. You can also sense the comradderi.

I’m also liking the new QB. He seems more experienced than a true freshman.

Also, we did cut back on the penalties post Colgate. Good to see.

I’ve always heard the end of the 1H and start of the 2H are the most critical points of the game. Thankfully Elon missed that FG ending the 1H, I think that took a little wind out from them - then we drove down the field on our first possession of the 2H.

I wish we hadn’t let them climb back but a road win in the CAA is never easy. Nice win over a gutsy Elon team.

Turnovers - killers.

Penalties - killers. Thankfully, it got cleaned up this game.

Missed extra points - killers. Was it a bad snap? Either way, there is no excuse for missing an extra point. Maybe Mike Leach can help the long snapper.

Blocked punts - killers. I commented after the Lafayette game that the punt protection needed improvement (how dare the team not listen to a message board poster!). Seriously, we better get that straightened out before we play 'Nova, JMU, UR.

Yeah, Coach London earned his pay on the end of the Half TO's.

The Elon kicker made the first two attempts at the FG, after the first and second timeouts, but missed the third chance. That would have been the difference in the final score.

We could have had a repeat OT thriller...

Darius Wilson looked very good through a few games. I hope all other QBs will be team first.

Interesting that neither Wilson nor Whitehurst are on this list -- but after four years in the program it is good that Pitts got some recognition for a breakout game.
