I have been looking forward to this game since I bought a ticket for the game in the spring which then got cancelled.

It's Family Weekend for Elon so expect a big crowd. Supposed to be mostly sunny and a high of 77F.

My first Tribe game since Elon 2 years ago.

Went to my first football game since Covid this past Saturday. The Hokies lost so it was a great day. First trip to Morgantown in over 10 years and I always have a good time there.

I hope the Tribe gives us reason for celebration on Saturday.

Last time these two played at Elon it went into 5 over times!

Notes show Mayo starting at WR, Trainer at LT, Wilson at QB, and no Fowler.

Still a really good matchup for the Tribe, with or without some experienced defenders. Another really bad rushing team with an average at best offensive line. Our pass rush will be more than enough to handle this offense even though we are facing a good qb. We have yet to face a team that can run the ball and I'm wondering if we will outside of JMU, Villanova and Delaware.

This is a big game. First conference game and the last game before an upcoming bye week. The Tribe needs to find a way and then hope to get healthy going into Homecoming. The schedule really sets up for a chance to build something before that brutal final 4 game stretch to close the season. Just hoping to see the offense improve and that we take care of the ball.

I believe the Phoenix are at least as beat up as the Tribe. And we are simply a better squad anyway. Figure out some consistent chunk plays and we will be fine.

Glad the core DB's are back. Will need them. Elon has a young offensive line, hence the struggle to establish a run game, so, Cheek will air it out. Really need to be in his face all day. Despite their young line, Appy was only able to get three sacks on him. Elon looked pretty solid early against Appy before getting worn down. They showed the ability to come back from double digit deficits in the first two games, so, we've got to be solid the full four quarters.

Need a good effort here. Cheek is a good QB, and anyone who has seen Appy's defense knows they really get after the other team. Elon did not fold.

Probably already reeling from the Grimes breakup, Elon's week is about to get worse.

What I really like is he protects the ball. Very mentally mature so early in his college career.

Coaches have done a remarkable job finding, signing and developing really good HS kids.
