Basically an internet poll operated on the honor system. That being said, it wouldn't shock me if this was more or less true, knowing a few PhDs, they tend to have a big head from their education and think they know better about other disciplines that they don't have any more training in than you or I.

I don't really disagree with one of the overarching points here, though.. Liberals (not that they're the only ones who do this) tend to go straight to calling everyone they disagree with idiots, rednecks, deplorables or whatever else and I think it's counterproductive and in this case not all that true.

Thankfully haven't known anyone young that's died yet but two coworkers have gotten it and been hit really hard. Late 20s and mid 30s and still not well after around a month.

With all due respect, I’m really tired of people trying to push this vaccine. Anyone that hasn’t gotten it by now isn’t going to and all the preaching in the world won’t change that. Let it go.

My grandson has it right now, a bad headache is his worst symptom. A good friend has been battling it for two months and was told that he will never have full lung function again because of scarring. In two months he's gone from an avid and healthy outdoorsman to a shut in too weak to do much else beside go to work and not exert himself. I'll be looking for a new member of our hunting club.

This crap is real, it can be very dangerous and I still won't get the shot unless they strap me down and force me to. I've been in and out of quarantined housing units at the jail and not so much as a sniffle. Now I do wear a hazmat suit when I go in but still...

I havent dug into the efficacy of the vaccines on variants just know they protect against severe cases and hospitalization vs unvaccinated.

I agree previous covid is protection as well but as variants thrive it wont be the only people need.

Im not pushing or preaching, just sharing both personal first hand and professional first hand observations... younger more healthy people are being hospitalized and dying this go round.

I ran across this the other day. I also heard they only send some samples to be tested. All the others are lumped in as Delta.

To detect the delta variant, a specific type of COVID-19 test is required — genomic sequencing. Genomic sequencing decodes the coronavirus' complete set of genes and searches for new mutations. Different health systems are using a variety for COVID testing. Its not testing alone but symptoms along with etc...

If someone tests positive with symptoms most facilities arent going to proceed to other swabs for say Flu or RSV etc... now saying that, I do know pediatric offices will test and are testing for say COVID and RSV at the same time to determine which to diagnose.

I guess thats why im posting it, because im not a dope from the CDC or federal bureaucracy saying this and that. They have totally lost all credibility and I stopped with them long ago... im just posting real life happenings and what I think would be the best option to not die.

If you are healthy as a bull with zero medical risk factors, its a slightly different conversation, but again I just had a friend / acquaintance die yesterday who categorized himself as healthy as a bull.

And yes im against mandates and all of the orders being barked from all levels.

Just trying to lend some realism to this crazy situation we are all in.

I will say I dont live in fear over this or really anything else for that matter. But I also dont like to see little kids losing parents when it could be mostly prevented.
