Lol just now seeing this. I also saw where our “ambassador” weighed in. He’s probably funding the campaigns of the clowns that keep getting elected yet never do anything about crime

He doesn't have to deal with it from the lake house or in the sheltered 'burbs. Unless he's a "random" victim he's virtually scott free. But folks like the Lakeland Leprechaun love to tell us city dwellers how to think and live our lives. Those poor folks already outnumber the 'burbs and they growing. It ain't just the city anymore. #ShelbyCo901

Well for sure it looks like a lot of folks have their collective heads buried if they think this isn’t Tiger sports related.

This discussion hasn't involved Tiger sports in several pages, hence the move to People's Forum so those who want to can keep discussing without it getting lost in political-religious forum no-man's land.

It's really not. It's the definition of the Community or Peoples Forum.

I've had a Tiger Lane space since day ONE, 13 years. NEVER has TN HWY Patrol EVER had a presence on TL patrolling the aisles. NEVER. They had multiple Troopers rolling visibly all day.

You want to know why Tennessee dosen't have enough fire and police, has dangerous dilapidated bridges and highways, subpar public schools, and a paucity of services: it is because that is the way the citizens want it. When the legislature tried to raise revenue people got in their cars and honked and drove in circles around the capital protesting taxes and then voting for anyone who promised to lower taxes regardless of the needs of the communities.

Oh, bull crap. Memphis doesn't have enough police (I don't know about fire) because nobody wants to get shot by people not being held responsible in court for it. The criminals KNOW what will happen IF they get arrested. Turned right back out on the street. The cops have had enough, and are walking off the job, or finding employment in Jonesboro or Jackson MS, or somewhere else nearby that is not controlled by a local DA that has no intention of punishing crime.

As a matter of fact, there is a HUGE billboard on 240North that is an advert for police and fire employment with the city. Obviously they have the money to pay, and the open positions to fill, they do NOT have the willing applicants, and who can blame them?

YEP --plus --the cops are AFRAID TO DO THEIR JOB---afraid they will be labeled or worse---they actually fear going TO JAIL THEMSELVES -- -FOR DOING THEIR JOB AND UPHOLDING THE LAWS OF THE LAND-------CITIZENS CAN'T EVEN PROTECT THEMSELVES FOR FEAR OF SAME

As an example just look at violent crime rates in Minneapolis where the 'Defund the Police' movement actually happened. I especially enjoyed seeing all the 'F**k the Po-lice' t-shirts at many of their riots errrrr rallies.

Seattle and Portland are and have been disasters as well.

The liberal media foments and encourages this type of behavior because all they care about is clicks, eyeballs, and $$$$$. They don't care if you agree or disagree; they just want your attention. I want to see certain main stream media hosts held legally accountable for quite a few retaliation killings of police officers over the past few years. Their slanted coverage of certain events is as responsible for killing those officers as much as the shooters.

Its why Trump continues to get all the coverage while Joe and Hunter and Hillary - who are as crooked and dirty as the worst mafia bosses you can name - skate. They don't elicit nearly the reaction on both sides.

One day hopefully the pendulum swings back to the middle and most of the insanity will stop or at least not be waived off, ignored, or excused. We need a big dose of accountability in this country but I don't see it coming for aw3--hile yet....

I heard on the radio today that since the BLM riots and the defunding of Police in Portland that the Murder Rate increased by over 2,000% in the last two years.

Not a 20% increase in Murders but a 2,000% increase in Murders.

Let that sink in ........... it's pure Anarchy.

Nice job, Portland. ‘Defund the police’ movement leads to 2,000% increase in murders.

A DECISION MAKER--PRESIDENT or AD or the like of in the BIG12---supposedly said something 5 years ago like---"a conference that has MEMPHIS in it is not a conference that I want to be in" ---I wonder what that meant-----if true that sort of proves my point

I wish someone could find it

That last sentence tells us all we need to know...

Under lounge --clink on conference and realignment---go to thread "after SDSU/SMU join the PAC12, which G5 schools are next in line for the power5"

Go to post 33----today the quote was listed again by a poster-----a quote from a BIG 12 president about MEMPHIS
