There have been a heck of a whole lot of less obscure and/or nonsensical sponsors of bowl games. Elk Grove Village, IL sponsored the Bahamas Bowl and, having been there many times, that place is on the list of Top 5 Places That Look the Least Like The Bahamas.

Plus, colleges will literally sell naming rights to literally anything to donors - the John Johnson Memorial Visiting Team Locker Room Bench would be sold if colleges could do so.

No worse than the 2014 Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl IMO (didn't realize it was that long ago). I guess if that name were used today it wouldn't be as weird to me.
