Good article - one item that jumped out was the potential to be eligible for the postseason next year (committee meeting to rule on that in April). That would certainly help with recruiting and transfers if the final two year bar is waived.

Regardless, loved Scotty's quotes about playing hard no matter the outside circumstances and doing it for your pride and respect of teammates. Definitely seems like that's a big part of the culture he's created. Excited for the game tonight and hoping for a solid turnout.

RE: 2021-22 Season
Just a great effort tonight and glad to see Ethan with a big game. That was a 21 win D1 team playing a full D1 schedule. Great way to close out the year at "historic" Freedom Hall. Man I wish we were on/by campus in a 6K facility, attendance would be so much better. 1600 tonight with nothing going on in Louisville. But a loud 1600. No matter what happens Saturday another great season for BU.
Hopf will be a monster by his SR season, he played 32 min and got the s**t beat out of him. "hopf" we can add some more size and beef around him.

RE: 2021-22 Season
Honestly, this is a lame sports city -- pathetic that it can't put, say, 4 or 5K in the building for at least one of the bigger BU games like this. At least we hardcore fans care!

Given the asinine new "open season" for transferring, I'm "hopfing" that Hopf sticks around, since he's so young and seems to have a really high ceiling. Likewise, our Mr. Basketball better have been okay with redshirting, or else I suppose he cloud have eyes on the door. Note I've not heard anything to suggest any of this; I'm just being a worrywart.

Negative stuff aside, awesome win! Go Knights!

I have to compliment Bellarmine on making the ASUN tourney final, and also get a dig in against Kennesaw: Bellarmine is already more successful than KSU, while KSU had a 15 year head start.

Thanks for the compliment.. BUT(everybody I know has a big but) it's a mistake to think that BU ' s time in D2 doesn't count. There is not a huge difference between the ASUN and the GLVC. The Main difference is that the bottom of the ASUN is much better than the bottom of the GLVC.. The talent level is higher in the ASUN, but many of the teams do not execute as well as the better teams in the GLVC .Any BU fan can tell you that the current BU team is not one of Davenport's better teams.

Very true, we shouldn’t discount the D2 history. I will say, it would be cool if Bellarmine won the tournament while ineligible. Only because I think that would be history. I don’t think it’s happened before in any conference. Need a fact check on that.

Impressive team and I hope you all make the tourney very soon once BU is eligible!

I would agree that some of the BU teams of the last dozen years had more raw talent than this team. However the current group is one of the better teams in terms of grit, determination, execution, team defense etc. Scotty deserves some credit for this, but we often don't give enough credit to his assistant coaches. I'm a little surprised that Braden, Scotty's son, and Al Davis haven't been approached for higher paying jobs at a larger school.

Lots of good coverage, locally and beyond, so I'm cautiously optimistic for a nice crowd on Tuesday. Go Knights!

Got my tickets, looked on ticketmaster for a couple more for kids and looks like lower bowl is selling fast.
Walkup may be large, too.
Fla Gulf Coast fired coach...21 wins. Tough biz.
Go Knights

Checking Ticketmaster seat map, the lowe bowl is gone and theiddle sections of the upper level are getting pretty full. 5k to 7 k looks to be in play

That would be great. My wife and I are going to hop in the car in about 20 minutes and make the ride to Freedom Hall. GO KNIGHTS!!

Got to love it! This title, crowd, etc. certainly can't hurt recruiting! And here's hoping the NCAA reduces or completely drops its asinine tournament eligibility rule!

Oh my gosh, wouldn't it be great if we had crowds like this every home game.

Yes! The place was rocking, and the environment in general was awesome!

Would've been great to have one or more recruits there.

What a great night! The game was as fun as it gets. Great time at Shenanigans afterwards. The team was there and the young people were having a good time ( so we're the old guys)

Wasn't it great to have all the students there packing the student sections!! Having a large student section with a lot of enthusiastic young people us something that has been missing this year.
