MyBB Tigers vs Georgia last year
Jan 4th, 2020.....We were 12-1 and ranked #9 in the country.

National TV at home against GA, down 2 with 11 seconds left, Lester missed a wide open 3 from the corner that would have given us the lead. Lomax had made 2 great defensive plays on A. Edwards before that to give us a chance. That was toughest loss in Penny’s career to me.

Wonder the story if they had won that game? Of course there was no tourney but season went south from there...

Weren't DJ and Damion both sick that game? I think DJ played, but he was not himself.

Frankly, DJ seemed off after that game and then he got hurt.

Yeah...

I don't think it was a 'turning point' in the sense we started playing worse.

Just think our weaknesses became more apparent and teams had a blueprint.

On the other hand, all things considered, LQ probably makes that shot if it's the last half of this season.

I think that was the start of teams playing Lomax straight up and not switching to make Lomax shoot the ball. Lester shot was on a fast break and in the words of the late Jim Valvano you have to shoot it when it shows. Without Wiseman, you have no guarantee that running offense would get you a better look.
