And then you got football back, right?

1. UAB drops football (bad idea, by the way)
2. Tech band gently reminds your administration that fielding a football team is a conference requirement per the by-laws. And that it's also great for the fans, alumni, and band of the school.
3. You get football back.

Again, you should be thanking us. Bill Clark should be mailing the Band of Pride a gift basket every year on the anniversary of the conference basketball tournament that should have been stripped from UAB to thank them for saving his job and reviving the program.

It was classless. Several of the La Tech fans on this board have also contributed over the years. I respect Louisiana Tech's programs, I just don't ever want to lose to them. That's why my vote went where it did.

There is nothing more classless than a few UAB fans I have met over the years. You need to not get so butt hurt over the simplest of things. Stop letting people "trigger" over dumb stuff. It is what it is and it wasn't the end of the world for UAB. In fact some can say it revitalized what was a moribund program.

Oh the humanity! Some college band students said some mean/stupid things trolling another fan base. I hope one day you can put this behind you. PTSD is not to be taken lightly and I hope you can get the help you need. Maybe a friend or your spouse can help you. They could hold a clarinet and say mean things, like "your shirt is ugly Bob" or "1990 called and they want your hairstyle back". Gradually the insults will lose their power. I'm rooting for you! Yes, I believe they are currently the class of C-USA football. UAB has played in each of the last 3 conference title games, facing a different eastern opponent each time. And, UAB won 2 of these championships. In my opinion, they are the target we all should be aiming at.

FAU won 2 of the last 4. It’s about to be 3 of the last 5.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe it was UAB's administration that decided to drop football, rather their mother school, the Alabama Crimson Tide. It would be like the BOR for the UT system (in Austin) deciding to drop our football program, rather than our own President and AD making that decision for us.

Yep and their players tried to fight our fans after the game last year. What's that saying about "glass houses"? Every UAB football game I watched last year had one of their players throwing punches after the play or doing something dirty to the opposing team. Hey but some nerdy college band kids said something mean 6 years ago so were the arsehole.

And yet, I don't see any Tech people clutching their pearls every time something negative or harsh is said about their program. CUAB fans need to just chill. Message board fans are gonna say some pretty mean and twisted stuff, that half the fun of it.

Y’all UAB people seriously get triggered over the littlest of things lol.

That wasn’t little at the time, and nobody has done something to top it since. So in answering the question, that’s what it’s based off of. Y’all also cried on here for weeks about how the conference was CUAB and screwed you over even though you were far and away the better team. It was several things that all happened at once, that have made La Tech the program I dislike the most in the conference. And again, I respect your programs and how well rounded your athletics are overall. When Memphis was here, they were that team, then it briefly became ECU, and now it’s you guys. I am but one UAB fan, I’m sure others have a different opinion. One of the big things lacking in this conference is rivalries, I hope that changes one day.

Like losing to them in anything, the fact that UAB is trailing La Tech in this poll is a disgrace.
