That would be worse, but if we handle the situation properly we can avoid that.

Rice and “handle the situation properly”, what could possibly go wrong?

Sitting here on a Monday and looking at the CUSA conference tournament slate and I am truly in shock that we are not a top 8 team in this conference.

The coaching carousel has begun and we would be wise to join it so people know the job is out there. The sad days for Rice baseball will continue if we don't see some change...

If we do jump on the carousel, a few thoughts on this Monday:
1. UTSA's record surprises me but I am still a believer in Hallmark and the brand of baseball he plays.
2. Has Clay Van Hook been discussed as a possibility? I know the players loved him at Rice and he has done a great job at OU. Texas roots and familiarity with the program. Easy sell.
3. The Big Puma led the St. Thomas U squad to a .311 team BA, .413 OBP, .436 SLG. All better than the Owls; yes I acknowledge differences in competition (7.58 opponent ERA) while also recognizing differences in ability of the hitters themselves.
