They are clearly head and shoulders above everybody else. The rest of us have to really step up our game for the WAC to be successful. Seems like I’ve heard these same words before. I wonder.

Keep an eye out for Dixie State — which I predict will rebrand as Utah Tech by the end of 2021 — over the next three to four years. The school is growing its enrollment rapidly, is sprouting new buildings like weeds (including a state-of-the-art student recreation center and attractive on-campus dorms), and knows how to market itself (boasting about the “300 days of sunshine per year” and numerous outdoor activities in and around St. George). I think the Trailblazers will have a lot of success in recruiting once their transition to D1 is complete.

They are the best addition the WAC has made recently. They are going to be an exciting school to follow as they grow. They'll be over 20K soon. And I love it in St George too. There's a reason its the fastest growing metro area in the country, and Dixie will continue to mirror that growth.

RE: Sam Houston SLC Football Champs, in FCS Playoffs...again.
Sam Houston State - if it beats Incarnate Word on Saturday - should have a chance to host at minimum two playoff games as a top four seed.

KC Keeler (the head coach) is undefeated at home in the playoffs all-time between his various stops and I believe he'll become the all-time FCS Playoffs wins leader with two wins. Sam Houston has also never lost at Bowers Stadium in a playoff game - ever.

What happens when Sam Houston has to leave Bowers and play on the road in the playoffs - we'll see what happens. The defense and offense both seem to be pretty stout this year when all the key pieces are in the lineup. In previous years, Sam was pretty offense first but the defense has finally caught up and is ranked amongst the best in the country in a number of categories.

Curious to see how much of this team is back in the fall as they certainly would be the favorites heading into the first AQ7 / WAC football campaign presumably.

KC Keeler was the coach of UD when I was a grad student there. National champions when he was there, I never got to see a game, too busy with classes. So I went to NMSU for undergrad and never saw them win, to UD where they won the National Championship, but could never go to a game :(

Jacksonville State and Central Arkansas can’t be ignored come fall. Jax State will also be in the playoffs this spring and UCA is always tough.

Predicting you take the L this Fall in Stephenville. Night before Halloween, and if Sam travels well it should be quite the spectacle. We've been wanting our crack at Sam for some time now. SFA stepped up to the challenge when we were D2 and you saw what happened there.

Ask and you shall receive. Should be a fun one. I love y’all’s brand of physical football and I’m sure Whitten is going to be licking his chops to get another chance at Sam, but if we bring everyone back y’all are gonna be in for either a dog fight or an execution. We’ll see how it goes in the playoffs but that high ranking ain’t pretend.

400 or less Sam fans will be there, and we'll hang 60 on Tarleton. Sam's a Top 5 FCS team, not SFA, much less a D2 team.

SHSU is likely going to get Jacksonville State in Huntsville for quarterfinals

Good chance that Davidson busses over to Jacksonville for the opener; not sure whom will appear in Huntsville. Richmond and Monmouth in some of the bracketologies. Wouldn’t surprise me if Missouri State or Southern Illinois gets shipped down to Texas pending how many MVFC teams make the field.
