RE: Rice baseball vs Incarnate Word
Way to go Comeaux!!! Nice comeback win, sadly the word "comback" was in my comment but at least they won the game as was, our should've been, expected.
The pitching staff is obviously struggling the question is how to best address the struggles with the young men. Could be pitch selection etc or just failures to execute at times but the overriding issue appears to be walks. Walks can be overcome (if limited) with K's or ground balls etc. I would just like to see the pitchers with the best stuff come around and execute as I know or hope they can. The bull pen has been a struggle all season so addressing that seems to be what is needed the most now.

Good to see the guys not give up and keep fighting. Maybe this can spark something for them.
Still lot's of issues with this team, but for today, we'll just enjoy the comeback win.

RE: Rice baseball vs Incarnate Word
Do not get me wrong - last night's win was exciting and encouraging but it still gives me little to no confidence going forward.
UIW is as weak as it gets schedule wise. Most halfway decent ball clubs are not coughing up a lead like that. The guys showed some fire and the ball bounced our way.
Unfortunately this does not excuse the faults in leadership. Patrick and Lance should be licking there chops knowing the job is available come end of the season... their agents should have already been contacted. If we are going to stink we might as well have someone at the helm who is familiar with the ship and lands from whence it came.
