She may enjoy a smaller spiffed up arena, especially if she can fill it up. With all her success, Wright State has averaged a mere 500 per game over the years. No more echos.

Yes
Haven’t been in the field house in over a year but it is time to demolish the stage and convert that area to more bleachers, update all the bleachers, concessions and bathrooms and turn the field house into an asset, for both basketball and volleyball.
That would be a nice selling point for the new coach and it is long overdue

It's behind schedule but should be finished later this spring/summer.

Should be an immediate improvement.
Seems like a good hire.
Waiting so long to hire a new coach almost certainly meant we had our eyes on a tournament coach.
Only hope that we waited till after the team lost to approach her.
We have been on the other side a few times and hope we were better than those other coach stealers.
Beating the Hogs was a big feather in her cap.
For the record, her winning percentage at WSU was 70.6%. Coach of the year 3 out of the 5 years she was there.
Three NCAA appearances in five years.

She’s great. And the in-law’s live in Memphis so maybe no rush to leave!
I’ll certainly go to Elma a couple of times next season for support. A shame that we are just now hiring a black women’s coach in 2021 and we spent nearly 20 years being total trash with Savage-Lansden and McFerrin at the helm. We deserve something good. The program is a sleeping giant and being a small capacity stadium and the only true on campus sport other than volleyball there is no reason for us to not be successful and give women’s basketball real focus.

If you haven't taken the time to watch the press conference do so. Coach Merriweather is very impressive. Go Tigers!

McFerrin didn't start off bad at all. Two seasons removed from 3-25 and 4-27, she had the team over .500 in her second season, and had 4 good seasons in total. Her 4th year we were 25-8. After that, she gradually lost momentum and never got it back.

If Coach Merriweather can brings some success, you'd have to expand the fieldhouse, and, possibly set up a media booth for national TV. Hopefully, she can be successful, and, love it here so much that she stays for a long time.
Man.... that sounds like a lotta work... nevermind.

Career losing record and was going nowhere. She should have been fired at least five years ago.

What? You hire the best person for the job, regardless of skin color. Dr. King must be rolling over in his grave these days. outrageous.

Yeah well it's clear the previous two HCs were not the best people for the job.

First opening we’ve had in 17 years, so that’s likely a factor.
