You do both. Sampson has done a really good job gaming our non-conference schedule in the NET era. 1-2 marquee match ups, a tournament, maybe 2-3 quad 2 type games, and then cream puffs.

Yea Wichita should be pretty set between the Vegas tourney, then games vs Missouri, and Oklahoma State. The cream puff we have is K State.

This conference does need to do better as a whole on winning their non-conference games. Feels like each year several drop turds in non-con and then start winning in conference.

Yeah penny should have no excuses next season. Whole team arent freshman anymore in his first year and covid issues second season. Hope he can get it done next season. Interested to see if Memphis has any transfers.

Not surprised COVID hurt our league playing and winning non conference games. SMU playing limited games hurt them and Memphis was better in later part of year but had no chance at big non conference wins and the two close losses to Houston killed their chances.

Truly is heartbreaking to miss the tournament again for the 7th straight year. Memphis will just have to endure another painful ending to a season, again.. wonder how long this is going to last.

Did you forget the original field in the Battle for Atlantis that got moved to South Dakota, and then almost everybody dropped out but us?
